Once we moved into our new room an hour later, we saw that the a/c was at 77 degrees. We agreed but were told that the new room would not be ready for a while. When we asked to move to the other side we were told it would be $20 extra per night. We paid for partial ocean views that consisted of views of the billowing smoke of a cruise ship. We came here in 2019 & enjoyed the safety, cleanliness & variety of the resort so we decided to come back. Please let everyone know do not go to Bimini Bahamas. And whenever the Virgin ship pulls in, they own the beach, so we cannot use the beach at that Resort, have you ever heard of that we had to take a cab and go to radio Beach and eat and visit a rocky Beach. Oh yeah bottled water is $4 a bottle plus gratuity, and they have a case of 20 for $26 and you're going to have to buy that because your throat gets quite dry in that hotel. The keys are excellent and not as pricey. Go to a nice resort in South Florida lot cheaper. And the way coming over there and the way getting back that's another comment to be made to the ferry company. ![]() I have been to 55 different countries and 48 United States and I have been to 10 Bahama Islands I would never go here again I would go to Grand Island or Nassau Bahamas before whatever come here again. I would never stay at this Resort again, the people that work there were wonderful, but how they nickel and dime you is ridiculous, it's $36 to eat breakfast, $18 to take something to go, they add 18% gratuity to everything, anything you buy gift shop, casino, they are very nice people but the service is very slow they're very laid back there, you have to wait forever for a drink, you have to wait forever for your food. It didn’t feel like the resort itself is geared for people staying on site and if we do decide to come back, I think we would choose to stay somewhere else on the island.… On the sunnier days, the resort is a lot of fun and there is plenty to do but even on these days, everything closes when the cruise ships leave. We did make our way to Alice Town on one day and there was more open and more places to eat / drink to pass the time but our journey home was uncomfortable in the rain. Fisherman’s Village did not open at all and the next nearest restaurant was at least a 15 minute walk away (not usually a problem but it was pouring with rain and the roads were flooded). We had some supplies in the apartment so we were ok but apart from the Hilton Hotel (where breakfast is $30 per person), there was no where to get food or a drink. We were unlucky with the weather which can’t really be helped but unfortunately this meant that cruise ships weren’t coming in so nothing was open. The apartment was lovely and the grounds are beautiful. We booked to stay in an apartment at this resort for 5 nights. My husband said he would always return to this beach! We cannot overstate how wonderful Ken and Twin were to us!… We have been to many beaches around the world but this is one of our favorites. As soon as we got to the top, there was Ken, ready to help get my husband back on the tram. When it came time for us to leave, we made our way to the tram stop. That young man worked hard! He not only pushed my husband but he found an umbrella and chairs for us in the front row! I tipped him well for his service. My husband is not small and it was almost 90 degrees outside. They had my husband get in it and Twin pushed it through the sand. After a few minutes, the young man, Twin, arrived with this big wheelchair with big plastic tires. He called on his walkie to a young man to bring the beach wheelchair. A staff of the resort's security, Ken, came up to us immediately and offered to help us. My husband has difficulty walking so when we got off the tram, I was looking for the easiest way to get him to the beach. We took the free tram from the ship to the beach. They were the same price as buying them at the beach. I bought our wrist bands for admission from the excursion desk on Carnival. We had been to the free public beach before but I wanted to try the Resorts world beach this time. ![]() We went to the Resorts World beach as an excursion from our Carnival Cruise to the Bahamas.
